How can you be more resilient?

The need to be flexible and nimble thinking are fundamental to business and personal success. Some people describe resilience as the ability to bend instead of breaking when experiencing pressure, or the ability to persevere and adapt when faced with challenges and change. The same abilities also help us to be more open and willing to take on new opportunities. There are 10 key strategies to resilience, this blog will take you through steps 1 to 5, if you want to find out how to be totally resilient, you’ll have to read next week’s blog that will explain steps 6 to 10!

 

1.Take a journey of self-discovery

  • Understand your strengths and weaknesses
  • Develop techniques to improve your self-confidence
  • Listen to yourself and seek feedback from others

How to manage conflict:

  • Understand the benefits of conflict
  • Actively listen to defuse tension
  • Consider the other person’s point of view
  • Manage your emotional reaction
  • Seek mutually beneficial outcomes
