We, the British Exploring Society, are a youth development charity which specialises in organising challenging expeditions to extreme environments for 16-25 year olds. On these 3-5 week trips budding explorers carry out a combination of scientific fieldwork, adventure training, and media modules as they explore the remote terrain that surrounds them. Sounds exciting right?!
In the summer of 2015 we will be travelling to the beautifully bio-diverse Amazon rainforest, the majestic mountain ranges of the Indian Himalayas, and the towering glaciers of Arctic Greenland and we want YOU to come with us!
Check out the video below to see how awesome past trips have been:
To enter this challenge we would like you to submit an exploring inspired photo and a 140 character description explaining why you relate your image to exploration!
Whether you're in your back garden, local library or at the top of a mountain we want your photo to be individual to you.
The lucky winner will be awarded a £500 bursary to invest in their choice of one of our 2015 summer expeditions and an exclusive week of work experience in British Exploring HQ!

British Exploring Society
The Objective of the Society is to advance the education of young people by providing inspirational and challenging scientific expeditions to remote, wild environments and so promote the development of their confidence, teamwork, leadership and spirit of adventure and exploration.
We believe engaging young people in exciting activities to complete projects of real worth in a challenging environment where you depend on yourself and team members alone, is a powerful model for the sort of personal growth that is commonly absent from traditional education paths.
