Going to university is a life changing experience - and we're keen to find out how you feel about it!
MyKindaCrowd has teamed up with City University London, to create a challenge that could see you win a day-in-the-life of a City University student.
This will include a visit to the campus, attending a lecture, and the opportunity to ask current students about what it’s like to study in higher education. Just think of what valuable research this could be for you and your university applications!
In order to win, we’re asking you to submit a photo, vine, video or tweet that represents your feelings about going to university using the hashtag #SnapShotUni.
Try to be as creative as you can. For example, you might decide to snap a pic of your revision notes showing how dedicated you are to achieve good grades, or perhaps submit a 140 character tweet explaining how much you’ll miss your mum’s cooking!
The top five entries will be selected and then the power will be in the hands of our MyKindaCrowd twitter and Facebook followers to choose their favourite through re-tweets, favourites and likes. The winner will receive the unique day-in-the-life experience which will take place in early October.
How To Enter
Once you have decided on your idea, you can choose to submit your entry in the following formats:
JPEG, PNG or TIF file
Through social media using the hashtag #Londonismycampus
You can upload your submission as a video/audio file, or include a link in a word document to a vine or tweet
If you need any help uploading your submission or have any questions, get in touch and we'll be glad to help!
(All submissions are reviewed by our team, please ensure yours is completed in full as any empty or false submissions will be removed and any points awarded deducted from your points total)
A unique day-in-the-life experience of a City University student
City University London
City University London is a unique place to study: located in the heart of one of the most exciting cities in the world; we combine a commitment to academic excellence with a longstanding tradition of preparing graduates for top-flight careers in business and the professions; and we are one of the UK’s most international universities, with students and staff from over 150 countries.
City was recently ranked in the top five per cent of universities in the world (Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2013/14). We have also been ranked in the top ten in the UK for graduate-level jobs (The Times and Sunday Times University Guide 2014) and starting salaries (Which? University); and in the Top 10 in the UK for international students (The Times and The Sunday Times Good University Guide League Table 2014).
It is an exciting time for the University, with us investing up to £165 million in our estate and infrastructure before 2016. For our current and future students, this investment will lead to a state-of-the-art sports centre (opening later this year), expanded online and print resources in our libraries, new spaces for studying and Information Technology resources to enrich life and learning.
