Could you re-think the way your university course is delivered? Think about new learning methods and technology.

Challenge details

Thales' Training Solutions business are asking you to completely re-design and transform the delivery of your university course.

Think about:

  • Modern technology
  • New learning methods
  • The age of mobile technology

Thales and MyKindaCrowd will not own, or seek to own, any IP that you develop.

The Prize

  • A total of up to five internships for the winning team
  • Internships will be within Thales’ Training Solutions business
  • Location: Thales HQ in Crawley
  • Duration: Up to two months, taking place during summer 2014
  • Each intern will receive a £1,000 per month allowance

Interns will need to make their own arrangements to take up their internship e.g. accommodation, travel. No alternative prize or substitute will be offered.

How To Enter

There are two ways to take part:

  1. Simply, submit your Project Initiation Document to MyKindaCrowd by 7th March, 12 noon. Download Template.
  2. Or, MyKindaCrowd and Thales are hosting a series of events around the UK. You could come along and take part in the workshop where you will get help and guidance on how to complete your project initiation document. Attend an event.


What's next?

If you are selected to go through to the next stage, you will be asked to develop your idea further. Don't worry, you will be assigned a mentor from Thales and MyKindaCrowd will always lend a hand where we can help too!

5 teams will compete at a finale event held at Thales HQ in Crawley. Here, you will pitch to Senior Directors and get the ultimate tour around Thales HQ and have an opportunity to play around with all kinds of cool things- like military simulators!

The winning team will be announced on the day.

Terms & Conditions

  1. Interns will be paid £1000 per calendar month before taxes and deductions.
  2. In order to take up the internship, you must be eligible to work in the UK.
  3. This competition is open to undergraduate students only.
  4. This competition is only open to students who attend the following institutions: University of Surrey, Imperial College London, The University of Nottingham, University of Bristol, Cardiff University, University of Oxford, Loughborough University, University of Warwick, University of Reading, Univeristy of Exeter, Manchester University, University of Sussex.
