About Whisk

Whisk (a web and mobile app that combines recipes and online shopping, allowing users to purchase ingredients for recipes in just a few seconds)was founded in June 2013 by Nick Holzherr and Craig Edmunds.

In the final of the BBC Apprentice 2012 Nick pitched Whisk to Lord Sugar for his investment. After not winning Lord Sugar's investment, private Angel investors and institutional investors backed the company.

In December 2012 the company was backed with an additional investment and since then, the team has grown from the two co-founders to a team of over 15 people. Most of the staff work from the Birmingham office but are slowly recruiting people to be based around the world.

In January 2013, Whisk launched and has since received over £0.5m of funding, making it one of the most successful food apps of our generation.

Whisk will help the world discover, organise, cook, shop, enjoy and share food better. Whisk will be life changing.
