Ardingly College, an independent school in West Sussex, have been very responsive to the campaigns offered to them, demonstrating the commitment of the school to provide pupils with exposure to the world of work. Recently they took part in the fantastic Nestle Finale day in Gatwick and gave us some great feedback on the event:
We all found it to be interactive, interesting and fun as well as being informative and productive. It was hosted very well and the Nestle headquarters are fabulous!
The Bourne Academy were one of a number of schools to benefit from a recent ‘Youth Event Day’ in partnership with Coca-Cola Enterprises. CCE employees and MKF tutors ran employability skills sessions and gave students insight into the apprenticeship opportunities available with Coca-Cola.
Feedback from our students has been extremely positive and they have all commented on how helpful the day was, regardless of their future plans. (Teacher, Bourne Academy)
Ashton Community Science College took part in the Best School Trip Ever! to Johnson & Johnson’s DePuy Synthes site to learn more about what careers are available to student who study STEM subjects. Following the event one teacher told us:
To us as a school it is important that our students attend events like the My Best Trip Ever! visits to DePuy Synthes. It gives them an opportunity to gain information first hand, rather than from a text book, what we mean when we talk with them about workplaces and employment. This was also an opportunity for them to develop and understand the term “networking” that we use such a lot and to apply it, during both the fun challenges and over lunch, when the DePuy team were chatting with them. This experience will prove invaluable to them, when they come to complete applications for Apprenticeships and Colleges. The question and answer session with the employees was great. Altogether a very informative visit.
