Female Representation within Senior Civil Service Level

On 31 March 2017, of all Civil Service employees, 54.0% were female, making over half of the workforce.

As of 31 March 2017, the proportion of females working at Senior Civil Service level was 41.2%, an increase of 1.1 percent from March 2016. The proportion of female grade 6s and 7s has been steadily increasing, from 38.2% on 31 March 2008 to 45.4% on 31 March 2017.

This steady increase is a manifestation of the real developments taking place in the Civil Service!
