Extend the truth…

Honesty is always the best policy – never was a truer phrase said. Most employers can see through fibs and exaggeration. Make sure your education and work history match the type of role you’re applying for and be truthful about your capabilities.

Ideally, your CV should be no longer than two pages (remember, you’ve got 8.8 seconds to impress). Figures and percentages are a great way to showcase your talent. It’s important to stay relevant, stay on course, making it clear what you’re looking for and what you can offer employers.

Give up...

Your CV is a work in progress. Getting it just right often takes time – be flexible and open to changing things up. Competition for jobs is fierce, sometimes the best way to stay ahead of the crowd is to be adaptable - your CV should be a reflection of this.
